SS 420

Stainless steel is a type of alloy that is composed of iron, carbon, and other metals. It is known for its excellent resistance to heat, acids, and other chemicals. Among the many types of stainless steel, one that has gained popularity recently is Stainless Steel 420 Sheets. It is a great material for various applications, including manufacturing kitchen knives, surgical instruments, and dental equipment, among others.

Stainless Steel 420 Sheets come in different types, each with specific properties and applications. The most common are Martensitic Stainless Steel 420 and Ferritic Stainless Steel 420. Martensitic Stainless Steel 420 is a hardenable, magnetic stainless steel known for its high strength and wear resistance. It is commonly used in knives, scissors, and surgical instruments. It has a maximum hardness of 55 HRC and excellent corrosion resistance. Ferritic Stainless Steel 420, on the other hand, is non-hardenable and non-magnetic. It is commonly used in applications requiring resistance to corrosion and elevated temperature, such as automotive exhaust systems, heat exchangers, and cosmetic molds.
