COLD ROLLED ANNEALED C80
THIS GRADE OF STEEL IS POPULARLY KNOWN AS ANNEALED SPRING STEEL STRIP, UNHARDENED SPRING STEEL STRIP, HIGH CARBON STEEL STRIP, COLD ROLLED STEEL STRIP.
C80 is a High Carbon cold rolled steel strip with a Spherodized grain structure. This grade of steel has a very high yield strength. It allows objects made of this steel to return to their original shape despite significant bending or twisting after hardening and tempering.
It is usually available in soft annealed condition however it can be supplied in temper rolled hardness in the range of 200-350 Hv (band range of +/- 40 Hv). This grade of steel is used where fatigue value and elastic limits are critical. It is also used where high strength, hardness and resistance is needed. This steel has great forming and blanking properties however lacks drawing properties.
