SS 310
SS 310 (Stainless Steel 310) is a high-temperature austenitic stainless steel known for its excellent oxidation resistance, corrosion resistance, and strength at elevated temperatures. It contains a high percentage of chromium and nickel, which provides superior resistance to heat and oxidation compared to standard stainless steels. SS 310 is widely used in industries where components are exposed to extreme temperatures and harsh operating conditions. The material maintains its mechanical properties and structural stability even at temperatures above 1000°C. It offers excellent resistance to scaling, thermal fatigue, and thermal shock. SS 310 is easy to fabricate, weld, and machine using standard manufacturing processes. The alloy is commonly used in furnaces, heat treatment equipment, boilers, kilns, and petrochemical plants. It is also used for heat exchangers, burner parts, radiant tubes, and industrial ovens. SS 310 provides excellent durability and long service life in high-temperature environments. The material exhibits good resistance to oxidation in both continuous and intermittent service conditions. It is available in various forms, including bright bars, round bars, sheets, plates, pipes, and fittings.
SS 310 is widely preferred in power generation, chemical processing, and thermal engineering applications. Its combination of heat resistance, corrosion resistance, and strength makes it suitable for critical industrial components. The alloy meets international quality standards and specifications. SS 310 ensures reliable performance, reduced maintenance, and high operational efficiency in demanding applications. It is one of the most widely used heat-resistant stainless steel grades in modern industries.
