SS 202
SS202 (also known as S20200 / SUS202 / 1.4373) is an austenitic chromium‑nickel‑manganese stainless steel grade developed as a cost‑effective alternative to grades like 304. It’s non‑hardenable by heat treatment and can be cold worked for increased strength.
Common Applications
SS202 is used where good corrosion resistance and strength are needed at lower cost than SS304:
- Restaurant & Kitchen Equipment (utensils, sinks)
- Architectural Structures (handrails, frames)
- Automotive Trim & Hose Clamps
- Piston Rings & Decorative Pipes
- Windows, Doors, Guardrails
- Light Industrial Components
